Help

  • Plumbing assignments may typically consist of inspecting broken pipes, leaky faucets and stopped-up drains.
  • Carpentry assignments may typically consist of reviewing interior painting. Incumbent will inspect the surface to be painted, ensure the paint is obtained to the desired color and ensure the finished product is the color specified in the work order request.
  • Incumbent may also perform a variety of other maintenance duties which may include but is not limited to replacing defective light switches, burned out bulbs, repairing broken or inoperative door locks, broken tools and equipment.
  • Receives incoming shipments from off-loading areas and checks receiving vouchers to ensure quality and quantity of items into groups based on information shown on receiving vouchers.
  • Segregates materials as necessary and routes along appropriate processing lines. Holds materials for inspection for according to established procedures and routes items not requiring inspection to proper storage. Reports over, short, or damaged conditions to supervisor.
  • Based on knowledge of warehousing plans, selects storage locations and stores, stacks and palletizes items considering their use, size, shape, quantity and possibility of contamination to or from other items.
  • Selects items for shipment or issue. Checks condition of shipping containers and ensures that items are properly loaded or packed. Obtains authorized signature on issue documents and keeps necessary copy of requisition to account for issues.
  • Assists in end of month inventories of stock by counting items in storage areas. Ensures that supplies and equipment are guarded and secure at all times. Secures all storerooms as required. Adheres to fire and safety regulation
  • Maintains all club vehicles ensuring that they are clean, in good condition and have gas.
  • Serves as a guide to the clubs' custodial workers which includes but not limited to assisting with making the weekly work schedules, assisting with equipment set up and break down during special events.
  • Makes weekly supply runs as required to pick-up merchandise ordered.
  • Ensure building is open early for access by custodial workers. Issues change funds to early morning cashiers.
  • incumbent also acts as the building Fire warden and building manager.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Satisfactorily complete all background checks to include National Agency Check with Written Inquiries (NACI).
  • Incumbent must be able to work varied work schedules to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Requires prolonged standing; stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
  • Lifts, carries, and sets up materials and equipment weighing up to 10 pounds. Occasionally may handle materials and equipment weighing 40 pounds and over.
  • Work is performed both inside and outside, and is exposed to dirt, paint vapors and fumes, possible electric shock, scrapes, burns and cuts.
  • Must be able to drive a forklift

Qualifications

A qualified candidate possesses the following:

  • Minimum three years of maintenance or construction work.
  • Must possess a valid drivers license.
  • Must possess a sound knowledge in fields of plumbing, carpentry, painting, and electrical maintenance.
  • Must be able to apply basic mathematics.

  • This position does not have an education qualification requirement.
