Duties

Help
  • You will advise the command on operations, planning, regulations, laws, policies, doctrine, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) related to the department's man/train/equip mission.
  • You will advise the command N2 and command leadership on all-source intelligence activities and assessments affecting the command or command mission.
  • You will act as the intelligence liaison to external organizations with regard to classified programs with the intelligence community, DoD, DoN, NAVSPECWARCOM, and other government agencies.
  • You will provide input and guidance to command leadership (via the N2) on HUMINT, GEOINT, SIGINT and MASINT support to the command's operational, garrison, and training activities.

  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the DCIPS (excepted service) which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • This position requires periodic polygraph examinations.
  • This position may require a 2-year DCIPS trial period.
  • Requires rotating shift work.
  • This position is covered by the domestic violence amendment (Lautenberg Amendment) to the Gun Control Act of 1968.
  • May be authorized to carry a weapon as required and must be therefore be qualified with the weapon.
  • May work days other than Monday to Friday.
  • May be exposed to hazardous or hostile environments.
  • Required to travel on military or civilian aircraft, deploy onboard ships, or serve at remote sites as required.
