About the position: This position will be assigned to the Resource Management Office at Moody AFB. Guaranteed 20 hours but may work up to 40 hours per week. The primary purpose of this position is to perform cashier duties for all NAF activities and applying official regulations to cash management and accountability. Counts all cash present and submits reports to the NAF Accounting Office. May fill in and perform Accounting Technician duties as needed and other related duties as assigned.

Duties

Help

Responsible for performing receiving cashier duties for all NAF revenue producing activities and applying official regulations to cash management and accountability. Responsible for receiving funds from all activities and consolidating all activity reports into one deposit from all Nonappropriated Fund Instrumentalities (NAFI} and making one daily bank deposit with local banking facility. Issues and replenishes change-funds. Issues Resource Management Flight Chief authorized change fund increases for paydays, holidays, and special events. Deposits all checks and excess cash with the servicing financial institution daily. Counts all cash and negotiable instruments physically present in the central cashier depository and submits the reports to the NAF Accounting Office (NAF AO), along with the NAF Central Cashier Control Log. Prepares NAF Central Cashier Control Log establishing accountability for the central cashier funds. Records receipts turned in by activities, change funds issued or turned in and the amount of transfers to NAFIs. May fill in and perform Accounting Technician duties as needed. Performs other related duties as assigned.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:
Must have experience in responsible clerical or office work which includes demonstrated ability to perform common arithmetic problems, and making change when receiving payments from customers. Must also have progressively responsible experience in the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit, custody, or other processing of cash items when this includes (1) direct handling of cash items and (2) use of cash accountability control methods. Ability to operate a point of sale cash register. Must be able to read, write and speak English. Must possess skill in dealing with the public. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI}.
