This is a Title 5 Civilian Position - You must be a United States Citizen in order to be eligible for this position.
You must be a Federal National Guard Employee employed by the Virginia National Guard.

As a General Supply Specialist (Title 5), GS-2001-11, you will perform the below duties:
Perform customer operational analyses. Conduct reviews that involve evaluating, advising on, and improving the effectiveness of a broad range of Enterprise customer service logistics/supply support programs. Responsible for enterprise support and integration of centralized Repair Network Management (RNM) and Enterprise Mobility Equipment and Clothing Flight (EMECF) processes. Analyzes various supply databases/systems and feedback to evaluate the status of customer satisfaction. Conduct trend/gap analysis to identify, develop, and impact the management of customer relations pertaining to the warfighter. Provide influence regarding policies, procedures, and guidelines. Optimize the culmination of resources and maximize efficiency and effectiveness of the Total Force. Perform enterprise level transactions and provide subject matter expertise to supervisors on a wide range of Air Force supply and administrative issues. Provide assessment of the operating efficiency and compliance ensuring leadership goals and regulatory procedures are met. Develops and participates in designing and implementing strategies for correcting identified deficiencies, customer satisfaction metrics, methods to enhance productivity, and improve customer service. Identifies requirements for additional resources to balance parts and stock levels for overall organizational and enterprise needs.
Work directly with Enterprise counterparts, Major Commands (MAJCOMS), Centers and Wings to develop concepts of operations. Provide input into policy and procedures to execute centralized concepts, fine tune deployment procedures, conduct redistribution order processing and excess inventory management. Responsible for authorization, receipt, accountability, and related responsibilities for equipment supply accounts/activities. Monitor customer requirements by tracking order fulfillment processes. Compares current status with expected delivery dates and provides any requisite information to the customers as needed. Identify unresolved logistics/supply issues and communicate issue resolution to the customer. Evaluates reports by analyzing and researching appropriate material to prepare detailed responses to inquiries. Identifies and/or participates in special projects and initiatives. May perform special assignments as required. May recommend milestones and goals when assigned as project lead.
Consistently and thoroughly evaluates the accuracy of data within various supply systems. Incumbent is responsible for conducting in-depth analysis to identify conflicting or insufficient data, or other relevant factors pertaining to data integrity. Conducts substantial problem analysis to identify adverse trends and or/ineffective practices or procedures. Analyzes gathered data and recommends potential corrective actions to include training of assigned personnel. Adheres to coordinated position audits, surveys, and studies initiated by Air Force Audit agency, Government Accountability Office (GAO), Congress, or Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) on required processes.
Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with customers, to include but not limited to, Headquarters Air Force, MAJCOM, Combatant Commands, Numbered Air Force, Air Force Sustainment Center, Installations, Parallel Total Force Associations/Teams and all subordinate units. Meets with key customers and coordinating officials to assess customer satisfaction, explain organization policy and procedures, and resolves and/or channel problems that arise. Participates in conferences and meetings with HQ USAF, MAJCOM, staff agencies, and or others related to logistics/supply chain support operations.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Applicant must have experience and/or knowledge on how to provide operational support to all weapon systems, aircraft ground equipment, next generation radar (NEXRAD), Base Operating Stock Management (BOSS), Repair Network Management (RNM) etc.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicant must have at least 12 months of specialized experience, education, or training equivalent to at least the GS-9 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government? This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the GS grade indicated. This experience must include activities such as:
Experience/knowledge on the entire inventory management supply system.
Experience coordinating with other organizations on complex and controversial supply issue.
Experience analyzing, developing, evaluating to improve supply programs, policies, procedures, techniques, etc.
Experience providing advice and guidance on supply regulations to upper levels of management regarding supply functions.
Education
