Social Media & Digital Marketing: Maintains online channels, including but not limited to: all Facebook pages, Instagram, Flickr, YouTube, Twitter, Pinterest, Tumblr, Snapchat, blogs, and e-newsletter platforms. Manipulates, resizes, and/or creates marketing materials for social media. Assists with graphic designs for facilities and the e-magazine. Initiates and manages all social media online strategies consistent with project management/Marketing Director's goals/directives.
Strategy & Technology: Continuously explores, recommends, uses, and optimizes communication methods and technologies to engage with customers and to maximize the squadron's branding, products, and services. Identifies relevant new strategies and technology to increase customers' engagement and create online brand exposure through any digital media forum(s). Maintains current knowledge of emerging technologies/industry trends and applies it to operations and activities.
Website & Content Management: Responsible for maintaining and expanding social media outreach on current and future platforms. Conducts routine checks on the 86 FSS website, to include, but not limited to, daily audits/reviews of content on each page and coordinates with webmasters via the web ticket system to update content.
Marketing & Campaign Support: Works with the marketing team to develop and implement marketing programs for the squadron and other activities. Assists the Marketing Director in developing communication strategies to determine the most effective and efficient method of reaching the target market through digital media forums and/or blogs. Makes recommendations to activity managers on appropriate online media mixes and works with marketing POCs to coordinate scheduled cross-marketing and/or event marketing posts/articles. Assists in planning digital marketing campaigns designed to enhance participation in squadron activities, considering the characteristics of the target audience and the media mix necessary to reach them.
Research & Analytics: Assists in conducting qualitative and quantitative market research. Assists in administering surveys, collecting data, tabulating responses, and analyzing results. Tracks user analytics and aggregate data for social online platform(s). Explores search engine optimization and utilizes analytics as applicable.
General Duties & Support: Provides support as needed for all special events. Assists with Marketing Assistant duties as assigned (processes inside internal ticket system, giving public briefings, and/or speaking on air, to include hosting weekly AFN radio spots for 86 FSS Events). Assists with Production Clerk duties (create Event calendar entries, printing, mounting, lamination, binding, cutting, customer service, etc.) as needed. Provides photographic/videography support for functions/events as required/needed. Nights, weekends, and holidays may be required as necessary. Performs other related duties as assigned/needed.
