Summary
This position is located at Lake of the Ozarks Recreation Area, Linn Creek, MO, in connection to Ft Leonard Wood.

United States (U.S.) Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. territory for three (3) or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation.
Works under general supervision and is provided work assignments, direction, policies, guidelines, quality of work expected, deadlines, and priorities.
Assists in setting-up, maintenance, and takedown of all special planned programs/events. Sets up and maintains recreation equipment such as water sprinklers, picnic tables, barbecue grills, park benches, playground equipment, trash containers, etc.
Maintains park picnic and pavilion recreational areas. Performs grass-cutting requirements using riding lawn mowers/ garden tractors (from 18HP to 31HP), push mowers, edgers, chainsaws, blowers, weed eaters, pruners, etc.
Work is reviewed for efficiency, compliance with instructions, procedures, and safety rules, and end results. Enforces safety, hygiene and health standards, policies, and regulations.
Weeds flowerbeds, prunes shrubs and trees, clear scrub trees and brush, and waters grass, trees, and plants. Cleans public latrines, party pavilions, and other facilities. Scrubs sinks, floors, and other fixtures. Picks up trash around the grounds.
Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.

Qualifications

Have work experience directly related to the duties to be performed.

Have experience driving lawn tractors, and using tools and equipment normally found in maintaining grounds, facilities, and equipment.
Have the ability to perform a variety of laborer, custodial, gardening, driving, and park maintenance duties with minimal supervision.
Know how to spread fertilizer evenly to prevent underfeeding or burning of plants.
Have experience in operating the vehicles/equipment listed, performing operator's maintenance, and complying with safety and traffic rules and regulations.

Allowances and Differentials
This job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system. FWS employees earn overtime pay for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week -- whichever gives the employee more benefit. Regular full-time, regular part-time, and regularly scheduled flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays. Employees may also be eligible to receive extra pay if the majority of their scheduled hours falls after 3:00 PM.
Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
