Duties

Help
  • You will develop execute and manage long-range IT strategic plans for technology refresh.
  • You will provide recommendations for funding levels, policies and implementation plans for electronic classrooms.
  • You will provide resolutions for issues that have been elevated beyond the Help Desk,.
  • You will serve as the primary contact concerning all IT services and equipment, for vendors and customer activity representitives.
  • You will track and report lifecycle management of legacy applications in accordance with policies and procedures,
  • You will plan and administer logistical support for all IT property acquisitions and repair services.
  • You will serve as the primary technical advisor to all staff and students.
  • You will maintain and implement software standard operating procedure and security controls.

  • This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 442 and 722, proficiency level intermediate the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
  • This position includes occasionally lifting and carrying computer equipment and supplies that can weigh as much as 50 pounds or more.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Monitoring and evaluating multiple systems compliance with IT security requirements, 2) Maintaining intranets and websites, 3) Utilizing IT practices and procedures to correct a wide variety of complex IT systems and computer equipment, 4) Implementing and maintaining software standard operating procedures and security control, 5) Planning and administrating logistical support for all IT property acquisitions, repair services, and accountability, and 6) Providing security training for user support personnel, functional users, and other staff members.
