Help
  • Responsible for space use analysis and interior planning. Assists with the execution of large space acquisition projects.
  • Collects and compiles workload statistics for use by senior management personnel. Assists in making initial space use surveys.
  • Recommends changes to design specifications from an interior design viewpoint and works with program managers to ensure such changes are implemented. Provides input on establishing architectural guidelines as they relate to interior design for space.
  • Investigates administrative and technical situations and implements plans to adjust the needs of the DISA organization to space availability to ensure maximum use of space and economy and to promote efficient operation.
  • Establishes and assists in maintaining space records, plans, files, and charts for effective space management.

  • This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.

  • Time after Competitive Appointment: Candidates must have served 3 months after latest competitive appointment in the Federal service.

Qualifications

Time-in-Grade:
For GS-13, current or former federal employees who have held a GS-12 position or higher in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement.

Specialized Experience:
Qualified applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade GS-12, within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.

Specialized experience is defined as:
Experience planning and executing project management functions in the areas of space management, design, program development and regulatory controls; OR Making recommendations on space management project requirements based on customer feedback to relevant parties (i.e. employees, management, leadership).


You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.

Education

There is no substitution of education for specialized experience at the GS-13 grade level.
