Performs one or a combination of the following tasks on a scheduled basis for preventative maintenance or as required for guest requested maintenance. Performs general maintenance such as repairing/replacing hinges, door knobs, locks, etc. or any minor maintenance required in lodging facilities. Maintains furniture in good condition by repair and may use hand or power tools. Installs or repairs items in guest rooms and or common areas to included the necessary miscellaneous hardware. Performs carpentry work to include constructing to include constructing or repairing of cabinets, shelves, and all other furniture items. Repairs are accomplished through the use of power tools and hand tools. Prepares surfaces and paints by filling nail or screw holes, dry wall patching, applies paint using rollers, brushers, and spray coating materials. Cleans and paints vents. Performs plumbing tasks to repair or replace bathroom fixtures or of shower heads, faucet knobs, sink stoppers and washers, unclog commodes or sinks and minor leak repairs. Removes and cleans dirt traps. Performs small appliance repair and makes minor adjustments or repairs to vacuum cleaners and kitchen appliances. Reports major problems to the Operations Manager and safety precautions are outlined. Exchanges or replaces TV's, appliances and furnishing in guest rooms as required while maintaining strict inventory control. Occasionally drives and delivers furnishings and equipment to various building locations as required. Accomplished preventative maintenance on vehicles including cleaning caring for tools, equipment, tires, battery and accessories. Services the vehicle with gas, oil, lubrication, water and hydraulic fluid. Performs emergency tire changing. May perform other duties needed such as exchanging linen, performing yard work, disposing of litter and trash, carpet cleaning or supply pickup and other related duties as assigned.

Qualifying Experience:
Experience desired which may include skills in areas of general maintenance such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and wall patching work. A working knowledge of hand tools and equipment used in the maintenance and upkeep of facilities preferred. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds, perform frequent bending lifting and have good manipulative dexterity of fingers, hands, and arms. Must be able to work independently and plan work in order to achieve maximum accomplishment of assigned tasks. Must be able to communicate; i.e. read, write, and speak effectively in the English language and posses the ability to follow oral and/or written instructions, rough drawings, and must have at least one year experience. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre employment physical. Must possess a valid Drivers License . Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for Drug use
