Duties

Help
  • You will lead staff supporting ongoing plant operations, maintenance, and repair activities, assigning work, setting priorities, and ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
  • You will plan and manage facility maintenance, repair, renovation, or minor construction projects, developing schedules, monitoring costs and progress, and ensuring completion within defined scope and operational requirements
  • You will manage lifecycle maintenance and replacement of facility systems and equipment, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life-safety systems, etc., to ensure reliability and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  • You will serve as a liaison for tenants, customers, management, partner agencies, and contractors, communicating requirements, coordinating services, and resolving facility-related issues to support organizational and mission requirements.
  • You will provide technical guidance related to building systems and facility operations; interpreting drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to support troubleshooting, decision-making, and regulatory compliance.
  • You will use computerized systems, work order tracking tools, spreadsheets, and standard office software to document facility conditions, track maintenance, analyze data, and prepare reports and correspondence.

  • The work area is usually adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated. There may be occasional exposure to adverse conditions while visiting installations

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate meeting the minimum qualification in addition you must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector such as:

  • Leading technical staff in a high-tempo environment, including setting priorities, assigning work, and ensuring strict compliance with safety and regulatory requirements;
  • Executing / Preforming / Implementing lifecycle maintenance and replacement strategies for critical facility systems, specifically HVAC, high-voltage electrical, plumbing, and life-safety system;
  • Carrying out unique operational and maintenance requirements of an industrial aviation maintenance plant or a similar heavy industrial environment;
  • Using verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to act as a primary liaison between stakeholders, contractors, and management to resolve complex facility-related issues;
  • Utilizing automated data applications/systems to manage complex asset lifecycles, maintenance, and technical documentation such as Maximo and CMPro for work order tracking and data management, along with the MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) to analyze facility data and prepare professional technical reports and correspondence; AND
  • Reading complex blueprints and technical schematics, alongside the ability to utilize digital tools like MAXIMO for scheduling work, managing material procurement, and maintaining rigorous project documentation.
