If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for providing Intelligence Research Specialist support in the U.S. Attorney's Office, Southern District of Florida, located in Miami, Florida, focusing on performing intelligence research and analysis related to legal matters, with an emphasis on national security issues.
Typical work assignments will include:
Conducting in-depth research, analysis, and synthesis of intelligence information related to criminal, national security, counterterrorism, counterintelligence, or law-enforcement missions.
Advising management and external agencies on critical issues related to international and domestic terrorism, transnational organized crime, and other criminal activities affecting the organization.
Identifies physical security vulnerabilities to recommend and implement measures to eliminate potential deficiencies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the required specialized experience for the respective grade level in which you are applying:

Specialized Experience: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service performing (obtained in either the public or private sectors) all of the following duties listed below:
Performing intelligence research by interpreting or evaluating data and/or intelligence reports to present conclusions (i.e. formal reports, information bulletins, or fact sheets);
Utilizing law enforcement or intelligence databases to input, organize or extract information;
Planning, conducting and/or presenting workshops, seminars, or training sessions related to intelligence;
Investigating international and/or domestic terrorism, organized crime or other criminal groups.

TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-12is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-13 level.
You must submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. No award SF-50 will be accepted; recommended SF-50s include promotions and step increases (within grade increases).
