Duties

Help

As a Manufacturing Division Manager, you will:

  • Plan and schedule work assignments on a long-range basis (e.g., 3-15 months) for accomplishment by the units supervised within schedules and priorities established.
  • Plan work assignments considering trades or other occupations involved; availability of manpower and equipment, deadlines, and other work projects for which responsible. Adjust manpower, materials and equipment needs.
  • Ensure quality control is performed in accordance with the BEP Quality Manual, ISO 9001-2015 standards, ISO 14001-2015 standards, new equipment and equipment manufacturer's specifications for operation, maintenance, and service.
  • Provide advice to the DPO and PO (and to staff organizations) on such matters as note development, product verification/validation, equipment specifications, ability to accomplish work assignment as scheduled, budget estimates, changes in techniques and standards, rearrangement of machinery or other changes in facilities.
  • Monitor and analyze production data to identify and evaluate trends or production issues and develops possible solutions and prepares recommendations for the PO and/or DPO to modify or deviate from annual production schedules.

  • Weekend work and overtime, if applicable, will be scheduled when needed based on production requirements as determined by Management.

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service.

Specialized experience for this position includes:

  • Supervising employees in a manufacturing/production environment, including establishing priorities, planning work, and scheduling work assignments; AND
  • Assisting in planning and coordinating production operations to maintain balanced operations in terms of staffing, materials, and scheduling to meet organizational production goals.

In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:

  • For the G-14, you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.

  • SUITABILITY, CLEARANCE & REQUIREMENTS: A background investigation will be required for all new hires.
