This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range & Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) in DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

About the Position: The Anniston Army Depot is located in Anniston, Alabama in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain chain halfway between Atlanta, GA and Birmingham, AL off Interstate 20. The Depot is the largest employer in Calhoun County.

Help
  • Manage the logistics operations such as equipment management and accountability programs, motor pool operations, supply warehouse, etc.
  • Provides leadership and guidance to subordinate in determining personnel requirements.
  • Manages the DPW material storage areas, procuring, storing and issuing materials and equipment.
  • Manages the installation motor vehicle and boiler fuel supply and distribution operations.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes duties in managing the installation operations such as equipment management and accountability programs, property book accountability, mobile equipment maintenance, supply warehouse, and motor pool operations to ensure adequate internal control systems are developed and implemented. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11 or above).
