As a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN (TITLE 32), GS-2005-7, you will maintain an accurate automated accounting and reporting system of accountable property equipment and components within the organization. Monitors and accounts for on-hand assets and recommends actions to improve logistical readiness within the organization. Participates in segments of management studies on the distribution of equipment assets and makes recommendations based on analysis. Monitors and participates in the redistribution of equipment by recommending transfer and turn-in of items as appropriate. Recommends lateral transfer of equipment between organizations. Conducts accountable property reconciliation. Reviews document registers, document files, suspense files, and account records to verify postings and consistency with automated/manual accountable property balances. Instructs organization personnel on proper ordering and turn-in procedures. Prepares reports on the condition of records, shortages, inventories, corrections, and actions recommended to improve property accountability in accordance with regulatory guidance. Maintains a suspense file of reconciliation, pending actions and other pertinent data pertaining to property accountability. Maintains the logistical file to support accountable property reconciliation.
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Excepted Federal Civil Service "under the authority of 32 U.S.C. 709" and is open to Category 1: All permanent/indefinite (T32 and T5) technicians employed by the agency Category 3: All current military members of the Florida National Guard; and Category 4: All individuals who qualify for membership in the Florida National Guard and are willing to become T32 Dual Status technicians. First consideration will be given to Category 1.
PCS: Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs, Recruitment or Relocation Incentive MAY be authorized. Authorization for payment of PCS expenses, Recruitment or Relocation Incentive will be granted ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have experience, education, or training in a variety of operations or situations concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered; experience of basic or commonly applied rules, procedures, or operations such as, filling out, posting, filing, controlling, or coding documents and/or transactions; experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:GS07 Must have at least one year of specialized experiences at the GS-05 level or the equivalent which provides knowledge and/or experience governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment; experience conducting searches for required information; reconstruct records for supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, and parts; experience performing various aspects of supply specialist work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems related to segments in one or more major areas of supply management; experience which required person-to-person contacts to convey information and ability to compile reports, letters, memoranda, etc; experience controlling supply stocks and accounting for equipment, cataloging, maintenance, and disposal procedures; experience with complex supply transactions; and/or providing supply operations support; experience coordinating with other organizations on complex and controversial supply issues; experience analyzing, developing, evaluating to improve supply programs, policies, procedures, techniques, etc; experience with inventory management supply system; experience providing advice and guidance on supply regulations to upper levels of management regarding supply functions.
TEMPORARY PROMOTION- For Title 32 selectees only: This is an obligated position (incumbent is on a military tour). If a permanent employee in the Title 32 excepted civil service accepts this position, he/she will retain their permanent status AND return to their previous Title 32 position once incumbent returns from military duty. If the military tour member, who has reemployment rights to this position, does not exercise his/her reemployment rights within 5 years, the selected individual may remain in this position without further competition.
INDEFINITE APPOINTMENT-For Current Title 5 selectees only: This is an obligated position (incumbent is on a military tour). If an on-board individual employed in the Title 5 excepted civil service accepts this position, he/she will receive an indefinite appointment (Tenure 3). If a Reduction-In-Force occurs and/or the military tour member exercises reemployment rights to this position, the indefinite appointee will have no reemployment rights to any other position and may be separated. If the military tour member, having reemployment rights to this position, does not exercise his/her rights within 5 years, this position may be converted to a permanent status without further competition.

Successful completion of a 1 full year of graduate level education
