Summary

Applies cross-functional knowledge in the planning, research, design, development, test, evaluation, integration, acquisition, dissemination, sustainment, modification, and/or exploitation of complex systems to support the organization's mission objectives.
Performs technical assignments and utilizes scientific inquiry in the development of new or substantially improved software, equipment, materials, instrumentation, devices, systems, mathematical models, processes, techniques, and/or procedures.
Provides technical guidance, advisory support, and assistance.
Attends meetings, conferences, briefings, and seminars related to program planning, advanced technologies, and support system concepts.
Accomplishes professional development and maintains technical proficiency through professional interaction with technical and professional societies, associations, academia, symposia, contractors, research and development (R&D) organizations, by reading/reviewing technical journals and current literature, and participation in formal training programs.

The work requires the incumbent to be subject to recall during non-duty hours, weekends, and holidays to complete proposals and/or resolve software problems.
