Duties

Help
  • Serve as the technical and administrative supervisor over the Equipment Maintenance Division, Directorate of Production Engineering.
  • Determine the internal plan to be followed by subordinate supervisors in applying these resources to effectively accomplish work operations.
  • Collaborate with higher level management in developing changes in work techniques and standards; revision of organization structures for improvement of facility layout and workflow.
  • Assign work to subordinates and set deadlines with instructions.
  • Review and analyze production, cost, and personnel utilization records to evaluate progress of work and to control or reduce costs.
  • Evaluate subordinates performance appraisal and recommend for promotion and/or additional trainings needed to meet the competencies.

  • Federal Wage System employees, WG/WL/WS etc. must satisfactorily complete the appropriate annual Depot Medical Examination.
  • In accordance with ANAD 690-24, employee is subject to being on call to cope with emergency situations as the need arises.
  • One year supervisory probation period.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an INDUSTRIAL EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR without more than normal supervision. I have the ability to perform as technical and administrative supervisor exercising full supervisory responsibilities in the operations of managing equipment maintenance and repair services for industrial production equipment in support of depot maintenance programs and projects. I can plan weekly and monthly work schedules and sequence of operations for subordinates. I can explain work requirements, methods, and procedures and provide advice when problems arise. In addition, I develop performance standards, counsels employees on performance, and make formal and informal performance appraisals. I am the top subject matter expert for the trades and labor occupations, work operations, and functions through one or more layers of supervision and two or more separate organizational segments, groups, or work shifts.
