Its purpose is to perform work involved in installing, troubleshooting, repairing, modifying, calibrating, aligning, and maintaining the complete electronic integrated systems on Army National Guard helicopters.
Summary
This National Guard position is for a ELECTRONIC INTEGRATED SYSTEMS MECHANIC, Position Description Number D0872P01 and is part of the NJ AASF 1, National Guard.
Its purpose is to perform work involved in installing, troubleshooting, repairing, modifying, calibrating, aligning, and maintaining the complete electronic integrated systems on Army National Guard helicopters.
As a ELECTRONIC INTEGRATED SYSTEMS MECHANIC, WG-2610-12, you will:
Performs operational checks, inspections, tests and troubleshooting on electronic integrated systems.
Completes operational checks, inspections, tests and troubleshooting of Line Replaceable Units (LRU). Isolates unusual malfunctions using technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams, tools and test equipment including automatic test equipment.
Completes bench check, testing, repair, inspection, modification, programming, reprogramming, mating, adjusting, alignment, and analyzing of LRUs and shop replaceable units. Uses a variety of test equipment such as automatic test equipment (ATE), oscilloscopes, DTA computer, multi-meters, power-meters, and special purpose bench test sets.
Recommends methods to improve equipment performance, technical data, and maintenance procedures by reporting hardware and software malfunctions, initiates material deficiency reports both on equipment and in technical data, and assists in design changes as necessary.
Processes and accounts for due-in supply assets. Ensures that material and equipment are properly stored, protected and maintained and that funds are not obligated for material or parts without proper justification.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE:
Must have general experience in the follow:
Knowledge of electrical or electronic theory, and testing procedures
Using hand tools of the electronics trade, and skill in reading schematics
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Must have specialized experience in the following:
Utilizing principles, basic functions and application of theory of electronic systems or equipment
Diagnosing problems and determining needed repairs for malfunctions in electronic equipment or systems
Making mechanical repairs that required the use of precision measuring and calibrating equipment
Using complex test equipment such as deviation meters, complex special test panels, etc
Demonstrating the ability to interpret technical manuals, specifications, and publications
