Help
  • Oversees the recruitment and selection of all civilians and officers; serves as the primary hiring authority for all GG-14 and GG-15 billets.
  • Provides oversight of the ETD budget, resource issues, POM planning, and synchronization of budget planning cycle in support of mission and travel funding.
  • Provides oversight on the processing of all Special Access Program requests for all directorate members and liaises with external legal entities for matters involving information / data requests.
  • Engages with executive and senior leaders within EOP, Defense Agencies, and other governmental organizations to develop partnerships and strategic relationships for the agency.
  • Oversees the processing of all support agreements for the directorate, including oversight of directorate administrative, policy, safety, IT logistics, and HR programs.

Qualifications

In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.

Basic Requirements:
Attention to Detail- experience reviewing my own information technology-related work or data and have been asked by others to review their work or data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency with standards.
Customer Service- developing and maintaining relationships with customers, anticipating and assessing the current and future information technology needs of customers, and developing or identifying information technology products or services that are tailored to meet customer needs.
Oral Communication- briefing senior-level management and IT staff on the status of information technology systems, projects, or daily operations, including the communication of complex technical information to a non-technical audience.
Problem Solving- identifying alternatives to address unique, highly complex, or sensitive information technology-related issues. I have anticipated information technology-related problems and have identified and evaluated potential sources of information to generate alternative solutions.

Qualifying Experience:
In addition to meeting the basic requirement, applicants must possess qualifying experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.

For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience in regulatory, administrative, policy development, and placement programs in personnel, intelligence, logistics, information systems, plans, and resource management.

Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.?

Candidates must describe how they meet the qualifying experience and/or selective placement factor(s) within the body of their resume. All qualifications must be met within 30 days after the closing date of the announcement.

Additionally, prior to reporting for duty the selectee must be found eligible for a DoD Top Secret security clearance with access to Special Compartmented Information (SCI) based upon an Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI), AND be approved for Presidential Support Duty in accordance with Department of Defense Directive 5210.55 (Yankee White - Category II, minimum).

There is no substitution of education for the Qualifying Experience at the GG-15 grade level.

  • This position may be designated as Emergency Essential. Incumbent must sign a statement of understanding and an agreement to continue to perform the duties of this position in the event of a crisis until relieved by proper authority. Incumbent's dependents shall be evacuated from the crisis zone with the same priority as other DoD-sponsored evacuees. You may be required, as a condition of employment, to take the series of anthrax vaccine immunizations to include annual boosters. This may also include other immunizations that may in the future be required for this position, or for a position you may fill as an emergency-essential alternate. Failure to take the immunizations may lead to your removal from this position or separation from Federal Service.
