Duties

Help
  • Responsible for the overall management and direction of Business and Revenue Generating operations at an Army Garrison and off-site locations/joint installations.
  • In a staff advisory capacity, develops recommendations to identify and resolve operational problems.
  • Develops training programs for personnel as needed. Work requires an in-depth knowledge of the DFMWR programs, services, business management principles, study techniques and instructional techniques.
  • Conducts on-site visits of all FMWR activities to determine if appropriate and sound business practices are being applied. Prepares written reports and checklists summarizing findings. Makes recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Teaches business management courses in a variety of settings: one-on-one, small, and large groups.

Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess the following:

Well developed knowledge of business practices and the ability to apply this knowledge in business operations to include the conduct of audits, reviews, and studies throughout the DFMWR organizations. Knowledge of the accrual accounting administrative guidelines, regulations, manuals, and laws pertaining to appropriated and non appropriated fund usage and management to address business and fiscal issues within the DFMWR structure.

In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified":
1. Possess a minimum of three (3) years of experience in a supervisory or program manager role within Army NAF Business Operations, or as a Business/Program/Financial Analyst at the regional, or headquarters level.
2. Possess at least three (3) years of demonstratable experience in analyzing financial performance, conducting audits and conducting command inspections at a garrison, regional or headquarters level.
3. Possess at least three (3) years of demonstratable experience in creating and implementing corrective practices and actions at a garrison, regional or headquarters level.

Allowances and Differentials
  • This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
  • Foreign overseas allowances, post allowance, and differentials will be paid, contingent upon eligibility. These allowances may include Living Quarters Allowance (LQA), Temporary Quarters Subsistence Allowance (TQSA) and requires a Transportation Agreement in accordance (IAW) the provisions of the Department of States Standardized Regulations (DSSR).
