Duties

Help
  • You will conduct instruction and facilitation for the Center of Excellence in Disaster Management and Humanitarian Assistance (CFE-DM).
  • You will conduct research, develop presentation material and instructor notes to enhance instruction.
  • You will draft requests for external funding and document supported events in database systems.
  • You will analyze lessons to assure propriety for teaching concepts, references, instructional methods and media, training aids and equipment.
  • You will design and develop, research, and archive course materials to establish, improve, update, and modify content of assigned activities.

Qualifications

GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following: 1) Preparing, planning, organizing, and conducting instruction and facilitation for the Center for Excellence in Disaster Management and Humanitarian Assistance (CFE-DM) training and engagement activities; 2) Participating in committees/groups to share knowledge of humanitarian assistance and disaster relief best practices; 3) Providing subject matter expertise in the development and facilitation of DMHA training, education, and information sharing; 4) Coordinating directorates for operations, policy, logistics, and others as required to ensure the Center's plans and activities are consistent with plans and program priorities.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

There is no educational requirement or substitution for this position.
