  • You will serve as the Chief of Ocean Cargo Clearance Authority (OCCA) Booking and Quality Assurance for an SDDC (Surface Deployment and Distribution Command) Brigade.

  • You will execute Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans (QASP) for the Brigades AOR for contracts and agreements established by USTRANSCOM for ocean liner service.
  • You will attend conferences, meetings, workshops, and seminars to represent the organization.
  • You will use various transportation automated systems such as JOPES (Joint Operation Planning and Execution System), GATES, GTN, ICODES, ETA to support the organizations transportation mission.

  • This position requires the incumbent to posses and maintain a valid USA state-issued Drivers License and must be insurable in order to travel to other locations in the Commands structure.
  • This position is designated as an Emergency Essential (E-E) position in support of mobilization and wartime mission requirements and requires the incumbent to remain in the overseas area and perform duties until relieved by the proper authority.
  • This position may require employees to work overtime on a regular basis to accommodate peak workflow or respond to emergency situations, often under severe time constraints.
  • This position requires the incumbent to obtain an interim Secret clearance and obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance based on the duties and responsibilities identified.
  • One year Supervisory probationary period may be required.
  • This position requires that the incumbent must successfully complete a pre-placement medical examination/physical due to the physical requirements of the position.
  • Candidates selected for this position must pass an extensive medical examination for deployment and during the employment duration to CENTCOM area per MOD18 guidance.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes planning, developing, and coordinating global shipping activities with military commands and commercial ocean carriers; Executing ocean cargo booking and logistics; Administering contracts related to transportation and shipping operations

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
