Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Performing work applying an extensive body of transportation regulations, methods and practices to perform a variety of interrelated or nonstandard transportation support assignments and resolving problems/issues related to the movement and storage of personal property.
Examples of qualifying experience include the following:
1) Performing a wide range of personal property shipment management functions including household goods entitlements, personal property counseling, inbound and outbound shipment management, temporary storage and non-temporary storage;
2) Determining and advising on entitlements or procedures related to the type of quantity of personal property that can be moved at government expense, storage entitlements, mover's liabilities and prohibited items;
3) Serving as point of contact to resolve problems and ensure that the work of Transportation Providers and/or contactors engaged in the physical handling and movement of household goods comply with applicable specifications and regulations.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
