Duties

Help

Continuation of primary purpose: Sexual Assault Representative and Military Personnel Data System. Also serves as liaison with personnel flights on personnel issues and assists in oversight.

  1. Serves as management program administrative specialist for the organization.
  2. Serves as the resident subject matter expert for all mandated administrative support programs.
  3. Directly assists the commander in the management of all\ administrative support program functions. Administers
    programs and serves as the primary source of information.
  4. Maintains a suspense system for all externally assigned taskers, as well as those generated by the office chief.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year or will have one year within 120 days of closing of this announcement of specialized experience at the next lower broadband, equivalent to the next to lower grade GS-04 or equivalent in the Federal Service. Specialized experience must include experience in administrative support programs such as, Sexual Assault Representative (SAPR), Government Travel Card (GTC) program, Defense Travel Systems (DTS) administrator, Military Personnel Data System (MilPDS), drug demand program, security program, civilian timecard program Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise; AND experience assisting/supporting on military and civilian personnel issues and manpower resource requirements.

EDUCATION: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college, or university. NOTE: You must submit a copy of official transcripts.

OR

COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Equivalent combinations of successfully completed education past two years above high school and specialized experience directly related to the work of this position as outlined above that meets the requirements of the position. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

  1. Knowledge of an extensive body of policies and procedures governing the overall unit administrative and commander's support staff operation. Knowledge of the organizational and functional responsibilities and operations of an organization.
  2. Knowledge of various office automation software programs, tools, and techniques to support office operations and produce a variety of documents such as letters, reports, spreadsheets, databases, and graphs.
  3. Knowledge of various office automation software processing procedures and function keys to produce a wide range of documents that often require complex formats, such as graphics or tables within text, to edit and reformat electronic drafts, and to update and revise existing databases or spreadsheets.
  4. Knowledge of Task Management and Workflow program operations, goals, objective. Ability to plan and carry out reviews of unit programs, coordinate, analyze and evaluate reports and conditions to recommend remedial actions.
  5. Skill in fact-finding, problem analysis, problem resolutions, and development of concrete action plans to solve problems. Ability to understand a standardized body of personnel rules, regulations, procedures, and precedents.
  6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
