Duties

Help

Serve as the consulting authority on credentialing, privileging and adverse actions for the DHN.
Prepares and review completed staff actions and studies, as required, expressing conclusions and recommendations that serve as a guide to higher officials.
Assist in the credentialing and privileging actions.
Monitors and prepare reports on the status of provider license, certification and privileging status within the DHN
Assist in conducting meetings with representatives of network MTFs for the purpose of coordinating action on projects assigned by higher headquarters, and designs plans to meet target mission goals.

Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
This position is a Testing Designated Position subject to pre-employment screening and random drug testing. Selectees will be required to consent to participation in random drug urinalysis testing.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with Credentialing and Privileging actions for medical professionals; reviewing and providing directions on Adverse Clinical Actions; and reviewing directives, plans, or policies regarding credentialing and privileging of medical professionals. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
