The United States Space Force (USSF) Space Operations Command (SpOC) at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado is searching for a Delta Government SAP Security Officer (NH-0080-03, GS 12/13 equivalent).

Description:
Do you have a solid foundational knowledge of a wide range of security concepts, program relationships, classification methods, and SAP/SCI security procedures? Are you good at planning, analyzing, and evaluating those programs to meet mission requirements, while improving the security programs of a highly dynamic, young organization tasked with protecting and defending the space domain? If you answered yes, then we have a spot for you in Mission Delta 9! The Orbital Warfare Delta is seeking a Government SAP Security Officer (GSSO) to provide oversight and management of multiple security disciplines (information, personnel, physical, computer operations, and communications) in support of advanced and Special Access Programs. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver, adept at independently analyzing and resolving complex security challenges. A strong foundation in Special Access Program (SAP) and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security procedures is essential.

Key Skills and Abilities:
1. Knowledge of a wide range of security concepts, principles, and practices to review, independently analyze, and resolve difficult and complex security problems; apply policy direction to contractors and government/military officials, and develop guidance for applying security policy, procedures, techniques, equipment, and methods to a variety of work situations and various levels or degrees of security controls.
2. Knowledge of a broad range of security program relationships, and proficiency in information, personnel, and industrial security to effectively implement and administer applicable security programs and/or coordinate with other specialized security programs.
3. Knowledge of security classification methods, concepts, and eligibility for access to classified or sensitive information to review plans for proposed or new projects, organizations, and/or missions to assure the presence of adequate planning for information security and other controls.
4. Knowledge of required Security Special Access Program (SAP) and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security procedures.
5. Skill in planning, developing, analyzing, and evaluating security programs to meet mission requirements and improve the security program.
6. The candidate must be able to plan and organize work, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

  • Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret w/SCI clearance.
  • . Employee is in a designated position that requires consent and thereafter be subject to and successfully complete, an initial, periodic, and random counterintelligence (CI) scope polygraph examination.
  • This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to pre-employment drug testing as a condition of employment, and participation in random drug testing.
  • Employee needs to obtain and maintain approval to access the portfolio of Special Access Programs required to perform daily duties.
  • Incumbent must attain DoD Security Cooperation Workforce (SCW) Certification and complete related continuous learning requirements.
  • This is a Mission Essential (ME) position.
  • Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
  • May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
  • Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): Approximately 15 days per year.
  • Employee may be required to perform travel by military or commercial passenger aircraft in the performance of temporary duty assignments.
