  • Incumbent will obtain/maintain Financial Management Certification (FMC) Level 1 if placed at the 7 level and FMC Level 2 if placed at the 9 or 11 level IAW Public Law 112-81 and DoD Policy
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain security clearance

Qualifications

Salary Ranges by Grade:
GS-07 $51,228 - $66,600
GS-09 $62,662 - $81,458
GS-11 $75,815 - $98,554

Specialized Experience:

For GS-07, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-05 if outside the Federal service.
Specialized experience at the GS-07 level is defined as experience inputting financial data; and experience preparing financial transactions.

For GS-09, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-07 if outside the Federal service.
Specialized experience at the GS-09 level is defined as experience inputting financial data; experience preparing financial transactions; and experience with financial reporting, reviewing and analysis.

For GS-11, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-09 if outside the Federal service.
Specialized experience at the GS-11 level is defined as experience inputting financial data; experience preparing financial transactions; experience with financial reporting, reviewing and analysis; and experience applying rules and regulations in implementing operational instructions and procedures and researching and resolving complex financial issues.

In addition to meeting the specialized experience requirements, qualified applicants must also possess the quality of experience as it relates to how closely or to what extent an applicant's background, recency of experience, education, and training are relevant to the duties and responsibilities of the announced position. Candidates must clearly demonstrate the possession of competencies necessary to successfully perform the work of the position at the appropriate level to be qualified for the position. Applicants must describe how their experience meets the competencies within the body of the resume. No separate statements addressing competencies are required.

Education

If you are using education to qualify for this position:
For GS-07 -One full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement is required.
For GS-09 - A master's degree or equivalent graduate degree or two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree is required.
For GS-11 - A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree is require.
