Duties

Help
  • Gather and consolidate operational data and information from a wide variety of sources, including internal and external partners.
  • Conduct analysis of operational information to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and emerging threats relevant to the organization's mission.
  • Develop and disseminate written products, including operational summaries, informational papers, and formal reports, to inform leadership.
  • Monitor the operational environment and current events to understand the context and potential impacts on the organization.
  • Deliver timely and relevant analysis to senior watch personnel and leadership to support their decision-making processes.
  • Work with a variety of stakeholders to share information, coordinate activities, and validate analytical assessments.
  • Respond to requests for information (RFIs) from a variety of stakeholders.

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • This position is a Testing Designated Position subject to pre-employment screening and random drug testing. Selectees will be required to consent to participation in random drug urinalysis testing.
  • This position may require the incumbent to work on call during irregular work hours which may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and/or varying work schedules.
  • This position is designated as Emergency Essential. You may be required as a condition of employment to take the series of anthrax vaccine immunizations to include annual boosters (cont)
  • May include other immunizations that may be required for this position/for a position you may fill as an emergency essential alternate. Failure to take immunizations may lead to your removal from position or separation from Federal service. (cont)

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes preparing briefs to deliver to directors; AND generating various report types for review by management (i.e. i.e. Serious Incidents Reports, Operational Reports, Operational Directives, etc.); AND utilizing automated systems for message review; AND advising management on operational procedures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
