Duties

Help
  • Plans, organizes and coordinates the Arts and Crafts program for a diverse military and civilian community participant population.
  • Develops positive and meaningful program offerings, which are diversified, responsive to available resources and participant needs and interests, and provide opportunities for self-expression, skill development and social activity.
  • Develops publicity to advertise scheduled Arts and Crafts program offerings, such as classes in such activities as woodworking, basket making, calligraphy, pottery, ceramics, photography, drawing, sculpting, etc.
  • Works with participant community, advising, demonstrating, and recommending methods and techniques based on the individual's level of development and degree of skill in the appropriate field of fine and applied arts.

  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Must be willing and able to work evenings, weekends, and Special MWR events.
  • This position may require a health screening due to the lifting requirement of 40 lbs. Immunizations may be required as a condition of employment for the health and safety of those in the facility.
  • Incumbent must be able to obtain an Official No-fee Passport.

A qualified candidate must possess the following:
1. Working knowledge of operating a Fine Applied Arts Program, providing instruction and guidance as required, arranging for supplies and services along with publicizes and schedules activities.
2. Demonstrated ability to plan, supervise, administer and conduct a Fine Arts Activities program.
3. Supervisory or Leadership Experience.

Allowances and Differentials
  • This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
  • Post allowance will be paid, contingent upon eligibility. Allowances that will not be paid include are Living Quarters Allowance (LQA), Temporary Quarters Subsistence Allowance (TQSA). A Transportation Agreement maybe required in accordance (IAW) the provisions of the Department of States Standardized Regulations (DSSR).
