Duties

Help

  • Consult with Federal agencies on the implementation and ongoing use of USA Staffing products and services.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for USA Staffing customer agencies, responding to their questions and requests for information or assistance.
  • Strategize and execute project plans and change management strategies in support of customer agencies fully implementing USA Staffing and/or select features.
  • Provide USA Staffing and related systems demonstrations, training, and consulting to Federal agency customers.
  • Work with the customer to define problem statements and collect requirements for basic and advanced system enhancement requests.
  • Use problem-solving techniques to provide technical system guidance to customers on system configurations, business process decisions, and standard operating procedures related to system use.
  • Serve as an internal expert on USA Staffing features and functionality.

Qualifications

This is a temporary promotion opportunity and may be extended or made permanent without further competition.

In order to be rated as qualified for this position, the HR Office must be able to determine that you meet the specialized experience requirement- this information must be clearly supported in the resume. You must include months, years and hours per week worked to receive credit for your work and/or volunteer experience. One year of specialized experience is equivalent to 12 months at 40 hours per week. Part-time hours are prorated. You will not receive any credit for experience that does not indicate exact hours per week or is listed as "varies".

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: You must have one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience that is at least equivalent in difficulty and complexity to work performed at the GS-12 grade level. Specialized experience for this position must include ALL of the following:

  1. Performing the full range of staffing functions in USA Staffing to include the following: creating assessment tools, creating vacancy announcements, reviewing applications, creating certificates of eligible applicants, and responding to questions from applicants and hiring officials regarding the status of the recruitment action;
  2. Evaluating Federal staffing, recruitment, and assessment practices to recommend USA Staffing System configurations and process improvements that meet organizational goals; and
  3. Providing training (on-the-job, formal, informal) and/or consulting on Federal staffing functions within the USA Staffing system to customers, HR users, or Hiring Managers.
Merit promotion applicants must meet time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F. One year at the GS-12 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS 13 level.
