Locates items by referring to locator cards; compares identifying information on documents with stock tags, bin markings, or box markings.
Unpacks and segregates items received, determines appropriate storage location considering such factors as size and security requirements; consolidates items for movement to specific storage areas.

Working Conditions: Works primarily inside but may be required to work outside when loading and unloading cargo and is occasionally exposed to bad weather. Works in a warehouse which may be poorly lighted, cold, damp, drafty, and may be exposed to dust, dirt, and grease. Subject to the possibility of cuts, bruises, strains, broken bones and more serious injuries from falling stock and motor vehicle accidents.
