Duties

Help
  • In a patron usage facility, receive and resolve customer complaints, provide information and general instructions on the use of equipment, and circulate among patrons to assure service is satisfactory.
  • Assists patrons in use of the facility by checking out equipment, providing safety instructions, demonstrating new equipment, teaching classes, etc.
  • Plans, conducts, publicizes and arranges support for special events, social activities, tournaments and related functions.
  • Leads the work of other employees to include routine conveyance of instructions from supervisors, distribution of workload, and clarification of policies and procedures.
  • Leads the work of other employees to include answering questions, providing leadership and guidance, and providing on the job training for new employees. Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Must be able to work a schedule that includes rotating shifts, weekdays, weekends, evenings, nights, and holidays.
  • A pre-employment physical is required for this position (must be able to lift up to 45 pounds).

Qualification Requirements are:

  • Work experience which involved dealing with the general public.

Applicants meeting the following will be considered Highly Preferred:
  • 6 months experience leading 4 or more employees
  • 6 months of customer service experience
  • 6 months of working experience in a recreation program/field
  • 1 year of experience using a cash register

PCS Costs
  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials
  • This is a pay-banded position.
  • Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
  • Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.
