Join the NSA Video Center as our new Multimedia Producer! As the Agency's official video production facility, we support the NSA workforce by delivering award-winning videos that resonate with the right audience. Our team of skilled professionals handles everything from creative development and scriptwriting to recording, editing, animation, and sound design. Multimedia Producers within the Engagement and Policy Directorate create engaging multimedia products that effectively communicate customers' messages to support their missions. They lead or contribute to video productions, handling activities such as concept development, scriptwriting, audio/visual recording, editing, animation, and delivering high-quality end products that meet customer needs.

As a member of our team, you will create polished, visually engaging videos for the workforce, guiding projects from concept to completion. You'll collaborate extensively with clients and team members to understand project requirements, establish timelines, and implement technical solutions. Excellent communication, organization, and proven video production, scriptwriting, editing, and camera operation skills are essential.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in video production, with extensive experience as a producer, videographer, or animator, and some experience in video scriptwriting. Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere, and Adobe After Effects is highly desirable, as is experience operating video or cinematic cameras. Familiarity with the entire video production workflow, from concept to delivery, is essential. Video Center Multimedia Producers must be versatile, adaptable, and collaborative, able to work independently or as part of a team. They should be capable of leading production teams or contributing to projects under the guidance of another producer.

Responsibilities include:

Customer and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Work effectively with customers, stakeholders, and managers across the organization
- Analyze corporate or customer requirements to develop, design, and deliver communication strategies or products
- Provide excellent customer service, focusing on requirements and solutions

Video Production:
- Conceptualize, coordinate, and produce video productions
- Draft storyboards and edit video products
- Operate production equipment (audio, video, projection, lighting)
- Record live, staged, or scripted productions (events, interviews)
- Integrate text, computer graphics, conventional art, photographs, or other media into multimedia products

Accessibility and Communication:
- Apply guidelines to ensure information and materials are accessible for persons with disabilities
- Possess strong communication (oral and written), problem-solving, analytic, and interpersonal skills - Effectively communicate with customers, management, and team members

Project Management and Adaptability:
- Manage multiple tasks with competing timelines and deliverables
- Adapt to short deadlines, evolving requirements, and varying tasks and priorities
- Demonstrate resilience and a desire for continual learning

Qualifications

Degree must be in Media Arts, Film, Photography, or related creative field (for example, Videography; Cinematography; Film Studies; 2D or 3D Animation; Industrial Design; Digital Video Production; Radio, Television, and Film; Sound Design; Broadcasting; or Gaming Design).

Relevant experience must include one or more of the following areas: videography, photography, broadcasting & streaming, audio, sound design, and 2D/3D animation.

ENTRY/DEVELOPMENTAL
Entry is with a high school diploma or GED plus 4 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 2 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree and no experience.

FULL PERFORMANCE
Entry is with a high school diploma or GED plus 7 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 5 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree plus 1 year of relevant experience, or a Doctoral degree and no experience.

Pay: Salary offers are based on candidates' education level and years of experience relevant to the position and also take into account information provided by the hiring manager/organization regarding the work level for the position.

Salary Range: $57,164 - $131,826 (Entry/Developmental, Full Performance)

Training will be provided based on the selectee's needs and experience.

Work Schedule: This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday, with basic 8hr/day work requirement between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. (flexible).

DCIPS Trial Period:
If selected for this position, you will be required to serve a two-year DCIPS trial period, unless you are a veterans' preference-eligible employee, in which case you are required to serve a one-year trial period. This trial period runs concurrently with your commitment to the position, if applicable. Before finalizing your appointment at the conclusion of your trial period, NSA will determine whether your continued employment advances the public interest. This decision will be based on factors such as your performance and conduct; the Agency's needs and interests; whether your continued employment would advance the Agency's organizational goals; and whether your continued employment would advance the efficiency of the Federal service.

Upon completion of your trial period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest.

If you do not receive certification for continued employment, you should receive written notice prior to the end of your trial period that your employment will be terminated and the effective date of such termination.
