The primary purpose of this position is to provide program management oversight necessary to meet Air & Ground COMSEC Branch's acquisition goals. Advise Branch Chief and assist in executing cryptographic development, production, and fielding management activities for USAF and joint cryptographic modernization efforts.
1. Plans, organizes, and directs Branch's Acquisition Program Management activities, with responsibility to provide program management oversite, and acquisition and business planning to develop/produce cryptographic capabilities for the Air Force and other services.
2. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
3. Provides strategic planning.
4. Provides executive-level communication.
All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period.
Selectee is expected to be granted with and/or maintain the appropriate security clearance required for the position.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Comprehensive knowledge of acquisition management and product support principles, policies, practices, regulations and laws.
2. Thorough knowledge of the mission, roles, functions, organizational structures and operation of the DoD, Air Force, and organizations that govern, interface with and/or influence systems acquisition and integrated life-cycle management processes.
3. High-level ability to gather and analyze a variety of program information; plan, organize, integrate and manage a variety of acquisition functions and personnel in providing program support; make sound judgments concerning program activities and progress.
4. Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative techniques for gathering, analyzing, and measuring the effectiveness, efficiency and productivity of acquisition programs and support activities to ensure that programs are within schedule, baselines, cost, etc.
5. Knowledge of safety, security and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures.
6. Ability to clearly and concisely communicate with technical accuracy, both orally and in writing; ability to negotiate difficult or controversial issues.
7. Ability to establish and maintain good relationships with individuals and groups within the office, as well as outside of the immediate work unit.
8. Knowledge of the activities and purpose of functional support personnel and ability to coordinate such aspects of system acquisition as engineering, contracting, program control, configuration, test, manufacturing, and integrated logistics support to effectively implement program direction.
9. Ability to plan, organize, and direct teamwork, and to negotiate with management to accept and implement recommendations, where the proposals involve substantial resources, require extensive modifications to program documents, established procedures, or may be in conflict with the desires of customer activities.
10. Knowledge of security procedures to maintain control of classified material
