This is an internal Department of Defense vacancy announcement. The area of consideration is limited to civilians currently assigned within the Department of Defense or those required by law.
Perform nonsupervisory trades and/or labor work that is usually of the same kind and level as members of the work crew led.
Install, modify, overhaul, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, rebuild, align, and calibrate complete multisystem such as the electronics package in a highly automated aircraft where target acquisition and tracking, weapons control; aircraft altitude control, navigation, and other complex functions are performed by numerous systems which as extensively interconnected with data feedback loops and accomplish a number of major functions.
Read and study technical orders and approved technical data as manufacturer's manuals, specifications, prints, and schematics.
Utilize safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean environment.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the quality level of experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards Handbook X-118C.
QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standard Handbook X-118C for the WG-2600 Electronic Equipment Installation and Maintenance Family. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most blue-collar positions, you must meet any screen-out element listed and show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.

Hill Air Force Base provides worldwide engineering and logistics management for the F-16 Fighting Falcon, A-10 Thunderbolt II, and the Minuteman III ICBM, and performs depot maintenance of the F-16, A-10, and C-130 Hercules aircraft. The base is located between Ogden and Salt Lake City. The area is known for year round activities, including skiing, hiking, boating, extreme sports, fishing and hunting, with four distinct seasons, low humidity and moderate snow fall in the valley.
