Duties

Help
  • Review operational capabilities providing recommendations for proposing changes coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to determine the best method for implementing system change.
  • Initiate system change requests affecting the automated operational and financial system initiatives.
  • Analyze policies that impact financial management and system processes to higher-level directives within organization.
  • Assesses data requirements for the enhancement of automated financial management systems and to identify system problems.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance throughout the duration of employment.
  • Temporary Duty (TDY), approximately 25% of the time.
  • Individual will be required to complete a one year probationary period.
  • Obtain/Maintain Financial Management Certification.
  • Incumbent will be required to complete Security Cooperation Workforce Development certification (Intermediate Level) within 24 MONTHS of being employed with SATFA.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1). Analyzing financial systems to determine the impact on business processes and operations, 2). Assist in the the designing, developing, and maintaining of financial systems, and 3). Compiling financial data related to budgeting, reporting, financial management, auditing, or accounting. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).

Education
