Mission Delta 6 (MD 6) is responsible for organizing, training and equipping USSF Cyber Warfare Forces and conducts Cyber Warfare Operations. MD 6 also serves as the Cyber Warfare Proponent, providing mission area expertise to support Cyber Warfare planning, requirements, capability development and resourcing processes. Finally, MD 6 establishes training and cyber crew standards, in addition to integrating and developing Tactics, Techniques and Procedures across the Cyber Warfare Mission Area.
As our Director of Mission Integration, your day-to-day work will be anything but routine. You will be the driving force behind our cyber mission, responsible for architecting the integration of cutting-edge cyber tools and techniques into the fabric of our satellite and ground control systems. You will lead and mentor a talented, multi-disciplinary team, and manage the entire lifecycle of critical programs-from budget planning to mission execution. A key part of your role will be serving as the primary technical advisor to senior leadership, translating complex cyber challenges into clear, decisive action.
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate for this position will be a recognized technical authority and senior-level leader with a proven background in leading complex cyber operations, preferably within a national security or Department of Defense environment. This individual will possess extensive, hands-on experience in cyberspace warfare, cybersecurity principles, and the systems engineering required to integrate advanced cyber capabilities with operational satellite and ground control systems. They must be adept at strategic planning for cyber missions, leading multi-disciplinary technical teams, and managing the full lifecycle of program planning, budgeting, and financial execution. Experience developing and interpreting cyber-focused policy and providing critical assessments of technical initiatives to senior leaders is essential. A strong educational foundation in cybersecurity, computer science, systems engineering, or a related technical discipline is highly desired.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Extensive knowledge of Cyber Warfare operations and Cybersecurity principles, concepts, technologies, and practices.
2. In-depth knowledge of program planning, budget and financial management cycles and policies.
3. Extensive knowledge of DOD, USSPACECOM, USAF, and USSF policies, processes, missions, resources, operations, capabilities, and requirements
4. Ability to identify problems, develop and implement innovative detailed strategies to resolve a wide range of programming, budgetary, financial and management issues.
5. Comprehensive knowledge of operational satellite and ground control systems and subsystems as they pertain to ensure Mission Assurance of these systems.
6. Expert Knowledge of and demonstrated the ability to contribute to the development, interpretation and application of Federal, DOD and Service regulations and policy, program directives and guidance materials relevant to the USSF/USAF cyberspace mission and operations.
7. Extensive knowledge of management principles, and processes and analytical techniques for assessing programs and developing strategies for operational improvements and efficiencies.
8. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
9. Ability to establish and maintain relationships with key individuals/groups within and outside immediate work unit including field-level representatives.
10. Ability to relate strategy, business, and technology in the context of organizational dynamics.
11. Understanding of a system's data models, data flow, interfaces and infrastructure to meet information requirements of missions.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret / SCI security clearance.
May be required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed "unscheduled telework".
May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments.

Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): Approximately 15 days per year.
Employee must within 30-days of assuming this position and by 31 October annually thereafter, file an OGE-450, “Confidential Financial Disclosure Report.
Employee is required to attend annual ethics and procurement integrity training.
This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to pre-employment drug testing as a condition of employment, and participation in random drug testing.
Polygraph: Employee is in a designated position that requires consent and thereafter be subject to and successfully complete, an initial, periodic and random counterintelligence (CI)-scope polygraph examination as a condition of employment.
This is a cybersecurity position; the employee will attain appropriate DoD approved cybersecurity baseline certificate(s) applicable for cybersecurity functions required for the DoD position.
This is a Mission Essential position. In the event of a crisis situation, the incumbent, or designated alternate, must continue to perform the duties until relieved by proper authority.
This position will require the incumbent to be certified IAW DoD Manual 8570.01 Information Assurance (IA) Workforce Improvement Program or to obtain the certification within 180 days of being assigned to the position.
