Duties

Help
  • Provide technical expertise regarding all aspects of information management throughout the Army National Guard.
  • Manage all aspects of information technology asset management (ITAM) and Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Information Management (C4IM) lifecycle.
  • Ensure full integration with the Army Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) process.
  • Administer the full range of supervisory duties using subordinate supervisors to direct, coordinate, or oversee work for a staff of subordinate civilian and military personnel.

  • Drug testing is required. And periodic random drug testing.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
  • One-year supervisory probationary period may be required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.
  • One year trial/probationary period may be required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes reviewing and evaluating alternative results from design, testing, evaluation and integration of work processes, computer hardware and software, and architectural design concepts; managing the lifecycle of technology systems and services from acquisition to eventual retirement; Identifying, developing and validating organizational information technology and data management policies and practices; coordinating C4IM (Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Information Management) requirements and Program Objective Memorandum (POM) development processes; administering IT acquisition support and contract management; supervising staff of both civilian and/or military personnel.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service (GS-14 or equivalent).
