Summary

This position is assigned to the Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) Community Programs (N922) Branch; Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) Recreational Fleet and Family Readiness Support Services (N94); Commander, Navy Region Hawaii, at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam (JBPHH), Honolulu, HI. The purpose of this position is to provide customer service to patrons as well as to perform a variety of duties in support of the MWR community recreation program; located at the Meeting Rooms.

Duties

Help

Monitors operations of facility or assigned area, normally during absence of the club manager and/or assistant manager, and during the workday, nights or on weekends. Responsible for the issue, receipt, and control of contracts and payments. Prepares reports of significant occurrences during the shift. Assures patron satisfaction by resolving complaints and other customer issues. Inspects and secures facility at the beginning and end of the shift. Maintains and enforces security for funds, merchandise, supplies, equipment and property in accordance with directives and regulations, to include conducting walkthrough inspections with customers before and after functions. Provides event/function set up and break down of equipment as needed. Must be able to understand A/V equipment and troubleshooting. This is a position of trust. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess:

Experience which provides knowledge of facility operations, meeting room or conference center operations, business operations, or equivalent leadership is encouraged. Familiarity with phone etiquette, customer service and relations. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing, and to provide work direction to other employees. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and possess a valid driver's license.
