Duties

Help

  • Operates limited coffee bar. Prepares and serves a limited variety of hot beverages (i.e. brewed coffees, lattes, espresso, tea, cappuccinos, hot chocolate, etc.) by selecting, mixing, and brewing the proper ingredients according to the number of servings required. Must be able to follow basic cappuccino requirement of each type drink including but not limited to; preheating the portafilter, knowing the difference in grinds of coffee, knowing how long it should take a shot to brew into cup, preheating the cup, how to "pull" and "tamp" into the portafilter, difference in frothing and steaming milk, and able to know difference and relay information to customers on the difference in drink choices. Sells and serves a variety pastry items.
  • Operates a cash register, rings-up sales, and accept payments and processes change. Prepares documentation for cash funds accountability.
  • Sets up and prepares area for service.
  • Prepares tables and side service stands.
  • Maintains work area in a neat and clean manner. Breaks down and cleans area. Cleans area to include operating a dishwasher or manually washing glassware, beverage makers, and other utensils. Collects and transfers trash from work area to disposal area.
  • Sets up Cappuccino corner for operation and obtains cash bank. Maintains neat and clean work area. Washes cappuccino bar equipment and utensils. Stocks service bars and assist supervisor on duty as necessary.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate and/or complete food handler's training.
  • Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
