Duties

Help

Assists in developing and implementing marketing programs for the 52d Force Support Squadron (FSS). Maintains working knowledge of FSS activities and target audiences. Obtains information on upcoming events, special programs, and offers from activity managers.

Professionally designs artwork and other methods of presentation to appeal to specific target audiences, in compliance with Air Force and local policy promoting FSS programs and activities, as well as all Marketing programs, including the print shop. Makes use of a variety of artistic techniques through software to design artwork for a variety of print and digital media. Creates, edits, publishes, and corrects all print and digital advertising and publicity materials. Coordinates and implements printing and distribution of final materials, as needed.

Maintains current information on all advertising media platforms (e.g. posters, monitors, website, social media, mobile app, marquees, etc.) about activity events, hours of operation, promotions, and other related information. Administers surveys/assists in focus groups, collects data, tabulates responses, and assists in analyzing results. Photographs squadron events for historical use or use in publications or presentations. Subject to irregular tour of duty to include nights, weekends and holidays in support of squadron events/functions. Performs other related duties as assigned.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Qualifying Experience:
  • Experience which provides a general knowledge of marketing/advertising principles and practices
  • Must have ability to use computers to perform design, research, composition and create promotional materials
  • Must have experience in arranging and composing materials from conception, design stage and into final format and maintain well-organized files
  • Must be able to communicate both orally and in writing
  • Must have experience working specialized PC software programs
  • Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign), Acrobat Professional, Microsoft Office or other equivalent software
  • Must possess skill in dealing with customers and public

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify.
