Duties

Help

  • Assign lanes (open and league), rent shoes and lockers to patrons, sells merchandise from pro shop, operates cash register, rings up sales, receives money and makes change;
  • Sets up for special events, activities, or parties;
  • Posts announcements of scheduled activities and answers inquiries;
  • Takes inventory of authorized recreation supplies and equipment;
  • Assists in maintaining the inside and outside of the facility in a clean and neat manner;
  • Helps with group activities which require more than one staff member.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • May be required to work an uncommon tour of duty to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Qualifying Experience:
  • This is an entry level position, no previous experience needed to qualify, however, an applicant's resume and/or interview must indicate he/she has the ability to perform the work assigned.
  • Practical knowledge of recreational activities, rules, and procedures is desirable.
  • Ability to safeguard and handle cash and skill in the use and maintenance of various recreational equipment and facilities are desirable.
Condition(s) of Employment:
  • Must be able to satisfactorily complete a Tier 1 background check.
  • May be required to work an uncommon tour of duty to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify.
