Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed Tier 1 background investigation.
This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and periodic Physical Examinations thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
This is a inclement weather essential position, and the incumbent must report to work and/or remain in the position in bad weather, natural disasters, or other crisis.
This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.
This position requires the incumbent to use personal protective equipment/safety gear provided by the employer.
Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary, the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.

Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in an office and the Cadet Mess feeding area, which are adequately heated, lighted and ventilated. Surfaces may be slippery. Works a rotating shift which involves weekend work. The work may require the employee to travel to Camp Buckner or to various other locations to conduct inspections.
