Duties

Help

Rigs ferry and safety boats, ensuring they are properly fueled and clean each morning and secured at end of day.

Operates safety boats during training sessions, regattas or other on-the-water activities.

Assists patrons with launching, mooring, pump out station and fueling of boats.

Performs minor maintenance which may include but is not limited to changing batteries, scraping and cleaning boat bottoms, and painting, varnishing boats.

Tows disabled boats to assigned slips or dock.

Inspects Marina daily to ensure area is clean and free from debris and other hazards.

Performs basic cleaning duties to maintain a constant and clean working area and ensure all current sanitation requirements are followed and maintained.

Sweeps, dry mops floors/docks: wash walls, windows, blinds and other surfaces and replaces light bulbs as needed.

Maintains restrooms, bath and laundry houses ensuring they are clean, orderly and sanitary at all times-disinfects and deodorizes lavatories, urinals and toilet bowls.

Replenishes bathroom tissue, hand towels and soap.

Notifies supervisor when cleaning supplies are needed and reports all equipment malfunctions to supervisor for corrective action.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Must be able to pass a standard Swim Test.
  • Must possess valid, current CPR and First Aid Certification.

Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess:

Must possess or complete the NASBLA Approved Safe Power Boating certification and effectively apply new skill sets to small powerboat operation, boat maintenance, water and boating safety within 2 weeks of hire.

Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and written to understand instructions given.

Must be a mature individual with positive customer service skills, tack and good judgment. Basic skill in the use of hand tools.

Education

This position does not have a positive education requirement.
