This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. Employee shifts are rotated on a

This position has been designated Mission Essential. In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations, the
incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
Position is designated as Inclement Weather Essential. The incumbent must make every attempt to report for work on time and/or remain on
duty during severe weather conditions.
Employee is required to wear protective shoes.
Must be able to obtain/maintain a Food Handler's Certification.

I have the ability to perform common tasks including serving prepared foods and beverages; washing dishes, pots, and pans; I am skilled in setting up condiments, silverware, and glassware; maintaining garbage collection areas. I work on my own initiative under general supervision subject to occasional inspection. - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision
Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc. (Other Than Blueprint Reading)
PHYSICAL EFFORT: Exerts moderate physical effort in lifting and carrying items weighing from 16-44 lbs. Work involves prolonged standing and walking, mainly on concrete floors. Pushes loaded tray carts on elevators and to wards, then delivering patient trays to patient's bed stand with training.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed predominantly in noisy kitchen and dining room areas. Incumbent is subject to injuries from equipment used and is exposed to dirt, cleaning chemicals, grease and water in cleaning tasks. Incumbent is subject to extremes in temperatures when bringing supplies from walk-in refrigerators. Wears safety shoes and other protective items as required.
