About the position: This position will be assigned to the Warren Lanes Bowling Center at F.E. Warren AFB, Wyoming.

This position is considered Flexible. The position is guaranteed 0.00 hours, but has the potential to work up to 40 hours per week. You may be required to work some nights, weekends and holidays. As a Flexible employee, you are not eligible for leave or benefits.

The starting pay for this position is $21.91 per hour.

Duties

Help

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Installs, adjusts, repairs, overhauls, and regularly inspects bowling facility electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment, to include automatic pinsetter, automatic ball returns, speed cradle stops, automatic score and foul units, automatic ball cleaners, hole bores, and lane maintenance machines.
  • Diagnoses malfunctioning equipment referring to manuals for diagrams and specifications.
  • Follows manufacturer's maintenance schedules but makes changes as necessary.
  • Disassembles and replaces or repairs mechanical and electrical components or parts using soldering irons, wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, and other hand tools.
  • Cleans and lubricates machines.
  • Measures and regulates sweep of rakes on automatic pinsetters using hand tools and gauges.
  • Runs automatic pinsetter through complete cycle and inspects for pin-setting accuracy.
  • Conditions, maintains, and repairs bowling pins and lanes.
  • Repairs cracks, chips, and splinters using wood and plastic lane stock, and sanding and re-coating surfaces.
  • Maintains required records and reports; initiates requests for spare parts, supplies, and hand equipment; performs general housekeeping tasks to ensure proper standards of appearance, cleanliness, and safety of assigned spaces.
  • Performs other mechanical and electrical work to bowling facility as time and capabilities permit.
PHYSICAL EFFORTS: There is physical exertion involved in the work (frequent bending, stooping, reaching, climbing, standing, and working in awkward positions) and requires the ability to frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 40lbs, and occasionally push or pull objects weighing up to 100lbs.

Qualifying Experience:

  • Must have experience in the maintenance and repair of bowling equipment which provided a thorough knowledge of the mechanical and electrical principles and operating characteristics of bowling equipment and standard test equipment.
  • Must have the ability to read and understand schematics, wiring diagrams, block diagrams, and manufacturer's service manuals.
  • Must be physically able to frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 40lbs and occasionally push or pull objects weighing up to 100lbs.
  • Must be able to frequently bend, stoop, reach, climb, stand, and work in awkward positions.

Education
