A cost of living allowance has been authorized for Hawaii at the rate of 8.64% (subject to change).
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

To Qualify for the GS-06:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) assists with operating audiology equipment, 2) assists with recording test results in automated systems and 3) performing administrative functions in support of a clinic or program while under close supervision. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
To Qualify for the GS-07:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) operating audiology equipment, 2) recording test results in automated systems and 3) performing administrative functions in support of a clinic or program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
