This position is located in the CIO Acquisition Strategy and Innovation Branch (CASIB) within CIOO and is responsible for providing oversight management of information technology (IT) contracts and ensuring that IT contracting policy, procedures, projects and programs are developed, implemented, evaluated and complied with using industry best practices and federal standards.

Duties

Help

  • Support the contracting needs related to the resolution of project, contract and financial acquisition process.
  • Prepare contract statements of work, cost estimates, schedules, budget, etc.
  • Assist with market analysis and prepare for and participate in contract negotiations.
  • Establish, implement, and revise acquisition policies and procedures for the CIOO.
  • Prepare schedules and tasks for technology service level contracts.
  • Monitor, review, and determine whether contractor invoices, deliverables, and performance comply with the terms and conditions of the contract specifications.
  • Prepare and maintain technical and administrative reports of the contractor's performance, detailing violations and deficiencies.

Qualifications

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 12 grade level or above in the Federal service. 

Specialized experience is defined as experience in contract, procurement, preparation, administration and oversight.
