As a SUPERVISORY HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST, GS-0201-11, you will supervise and manage two or more of the following human resource programs: Health Services Program, to include Line of Duty (LOD), Incapacitation Pay (INCAP), Warrior Transition Unit (WTU), Active Duty Medical Extension (ADME), Medical Retention Processing 2 (MRP2), and Medical Boards to include MOS Medical Review Board (MMRB), Medical Evaluation Board (MEB), and Physical Evaluation Board (PEB); and perform any other assigned duties.

As a SUPERVISORY HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST, GS-0201-12, you will serve as a personnel supervisor and advise in one or more of the following branches: Education, Automation, Retirement, Boards, Enlisted, Officer, Health Services, Plans and Mobilization Readiness; and perform any other assigned duties.

  • This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
  • Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
  • Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
  • Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.
  • Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
  • You may be required to successfully complete a 1- or 2- year probation/trail period to assess performance, conduct, agency needs, public interest, and efficiency. Employment ends unless certified in writing that it advances the agencies interest.
  • Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.

Qualifications

Military Grades: Enlisted (E7 to E9), Warrant (CW2 to CW5) or Officer (O3 to O5)

Minimum Requirements: Experience, education or training which involves the exercise of analytical ability, judgment, discretion, and personal responsibility, and application of a substantial body of knowledge of principles, concepts and practices applicable to one or more fields of administration or management. Experience using computer and automation systems.

Specialized Experience: Must have at least 36 months experience, education, or training involving the administering, delivering, maintaining, advising, and adapting advanced concepts, principles, and theories of Human Resources to the unique organizational, management, and mission requirements. Experience assisting in the development of Human Resources policies and procedures. Experience advising management on Human Resources principles and practices. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.

Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience: Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree, in an accredited college or university, meets the GS-5 level requirements.

Education
