Duties

Help
  • Serves as the Deputy to the Army Community Hospital Commander for Quality and Safety.
  • Serves as Health System Administrator of the Quality Management program including medical management and evidence-based risk management and clinical privileging
  • Advises the the Commander on all issues related to quality, accreditation, and safety.
  • Monitors the collection and analysis of data related to quality and delivery of patient care.
  • Develops and sustains strategies for a productive, efficient, financially sustainable high quality organization.

  • A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
  • This position is subject to a background investigation to determine your suitability for Federal employment.
  • This position has mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirements and is subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations unless otherwise exempted for medical or religious reasons (documentation of exemption must be provided upon hire).
  • Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
  • This position requires the incumbent to have tuberculosis testing.
  • This position may require the incumbent to work on call during irregular work hours which may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and/or varying work schedules.
  • One-year supervisory probationary period required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing and implementing policies to improve quality of care and patient care within a medical treatment facility (MTF); briefing senior leadership on trends to promote understanding of the health care delivery processes and/or systems used in patient care; and managing workload distribution among subordinates. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
