Help
  • Provides administrative and technical regulatory advice and assistance for a variety of management services essential to the direction and operation of an organization or program area.
  • Responsibility may include but is not limited to, training, internal controls, budget, briefing support,personnel related duties including processing of evaluations, payroll and HR liaison, finance, travel, contracting, logistics, and automation.
  • Provides overall office management support to DFMWR, Division and Branch Chiefs.
  • Monitors operations or outstanding support issues to ensure successful accomplishment of the mission in compliance with governing directives and internal controls, recommending, developing and implementing controls as necessary.
  • Functions as the central point of contact for matters relating to assigned program area. Monitors and evaluates program performance to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and attainment of goals.

Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess the following:
1. Knowledge and understanding of a wide range of administrative and management principles, practices, methods and techniques, and skill in integrating management services with the general management of an organization.
2. Must be highly skilled in written and verbal communications and possess proven leadership abilities and excellent people skills
3. Must be proficient in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Power Point, and other software as required.
4. Ability to meet stringent deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Additionally:
Preferred are those candidates with comprehensive knowledge of the applicable office's organizational structure, management objectives and procedures with direct experience performing duties as described in the Major Duties Description is also preferred.Candidates who possess a bachelor's degree, post-secondary education or equivalent work experience are preferred. Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator's permit in the area assigned.

**Highly Preferred Qualifications:
1. One year work experience in records management.
2. One year preparing, managing, and overseeing professional correspondence in accordance with Army Regulation 25-50.

Area of Consideration

  • This job is open to candidates who reside within the local commuting area of Fort Polk, Louisiana. (Local commuting area is defined as a 50-mile radius of Fort Polk to include, Beauregard Parish, Rapides Parish, Sabine Parish and Vernon Parish).
